Good morning my friends!
I hope this week is treating you as kindly as it is treating me. Luckily it's Wednesday so you now have reading material. My fantastic friend Jess came and visited me over the weekend so I have art from that and before & after.
First thing's first I finished her blanket! I have never made a ripple blanket before and this one ended up taking me about a month and a half to complete. As my dear friend Lydia would note, I did the second half of it in a week so I could probably have done it in two weeks. Time did not allow me to do so!
Jess and I went to Plaster Funtime over the weekend because all 10 locations are in Massachusetts and she's not from my homestate! She worked on the dragon while I worked on yet another fish. I may just paint all the fish before the summer is over. Also, I am laughing like crazy in that photo.
Next I finished that darn pillow I've been working on for a couple weeks. I did the front in Martha's Vineyard over the span of a week, and the back in one day this week. It's fastened with a large button on the back and slips over a 16 inch pillow. I'm really happy with it. If you're not from Marblehead you may not know that this is an image of Abbot Hall which is our town hall.
I've also been working on adult coloring books. There's nothing adult about them beyond the fact that they're more complex then basic shapes and designs. It makes me want to design one myself!
Xo,
Emma
