Good afternoon my blogging friends! Today I come to you with an interesting project. I created a rug that was finger knitted yarn and cassette tape. This was because I was prompted by the word soft. The rug makes a soft sound because of the yarn and the tape, the tape reflects light which is soft, and then the yarn itself is soft. The finger knitting process above, and the super cool rug below Thanks so much for checking out my post. I have finals week coming up so I'm gonna be busy busy! Xo, Emma Hi everyone! Sorry I've been so spotty, there's been a lot of hustle and bustle here at college that I can't get away from. Finally I'm going to show you what I've been working on in my experimental studio class! We had to come up with a collage project that had hybrids in them on two 22"x30" pieces of paper so here's what I came up with- These three baby collages are what I used as inspiration to draw from and then use later in my finals. The creature is half dinosaur half woman, constantly playing the role of the woman and hiding the dinosaur. Then I continued onto big paper. The background is from a page-a-day calendar and scooby doo books. One is going to be a "darker" piece than the other. And here are my finals on our wall, I'll give you a better picture of the "darker" one in a moment. Do you see my half dinosaur girl? That's all for now, Xo, Emma Dear blogging friends, Many apologies for not posting on Wednesday! It completely slipped my mind, it's been a whirlwind week. I would like to direct you're attention to this blog which I have to post assignments on for one of my art classes. It'll give you a good update until next Wednesday! emmaoliver1.wordpress.com Xo, Emma |
