Wow summer is flying by blog friends! It's July already and that means school starts in less than two months. Hoping to get so many more things done before then, want to see what I've been up to?
I've been playing with Perler beads-remember those? They melt when heated and make something plastic that most people never use. I like art with function so I've made some Marblehead themed coasters. There's Abbot Hall and the Old Town house.
I also made a Perler bead clock this week on MV. I'm about to iron it tonight so wish me luck. Yes I'm terrified.
On top of that, we went to Martha's Vineyard Glassworks today and saw them make a vase, which was incredible. Daddy bought me some earrings and I'm in love with them. This trip has been most successful!
ALSO! If you're in Marblehead tomorrow through Sunday go check out my senior prom dress in the Youth and Student Art at Old North church. The lovely Nancy Easterbrooks has put it in the Festival as I made it at her studio! Hoping to win a People's Choice Award for my last student piece. Vote for me if you feel moved to do so!
Xo,
Emma
