Hi blog friends!
It's been a great day in Alfred, New York! We're coming out of the minus 36 degree weather and going back to some positive numbers! It's snowing out and looking fluffy.
Gosh, do I have art to show you. I'll put the pictures up first and then explain.
I'm starting to paint my structure before I put more smoke in. I'm really loving it right now so I think I'm going to try and finish it this weekend. It's getting so exciting. You can see the crowd of people there that I've outlined. I'm working on my painting style and my mantra is "I am Monet! I am Monet!" Over and over again. I'm totally channeling him. Hehe
I also made my still life today and worked on drawing it. I'm happy with my drawing but I don't want to show you just yet. I'm not confident in my observational drawing at the moment. It's a-okay you aren't missing much, but isn't it a nice still life?
Also look at this amazing piece of work that my great friend Emma Kane made me. She's going to be selling prints of her work on a website pretty soon, so here is a shameless plug about her! Doesn't it look like stained glass? So cool. I'm so lucky to have such talented people around me.
Xo,
Emma
