Hey blog friends!
I'm back in Massachusetts and have left school for a big long break! Although, I am excited to head back and create more. I'm going to show you very limited art this week because what I'm working on right now is primarily holiday gifts and people can't see those! Gotta be a very stealthy Santa.
We had critique in print last Tuesday before leaving school. Emma Kane took some snazzy photos of me laughing at myself. I crack myself up.
I have gone into Boston twice this week to check out art. The first time was on Friday and I went to Harvard's ceramics show. These were a few pieces on display. The second is quilled porcelain. How does that even work? Gosh do I want to try that.
The second time I went to Boston was Sunday with Cami! It's so wonderful to see your best friend from high school after such a long time. We went to see the new exhibits at the ICA and gosh was I impressed. The first piece is a very large drawing done directly on the wall in sharpie. The second is a drawing of a marriage with two 22 carat gold wedding bands drawn into wire. That one really got me. I stood there for a very long time looking at that piece.
Over all, it's been an incredible week.
Xo,
Emma
