Hi blog friends!

Happy Wednesday, the week is half over! Recently I was contacted by the Marblehead Festival of Arts to made a really cool wooden codfish into something even cooler. This is a big deal for me because it means I'm being recognized in the community as an artist and creator. I appreciate this opportunity so much!

I've been brainstorming ideas for his design for a while now and at the moment I'm thinking about mermaids.

Here is his top half and he's looking mighty fine. I've done some research on cod and on my hometown in general. I'm trying to move away from sterotypical Marblehead imagery and go for something unexpected. I think mermaids would be nice :) if you have any ideas let me know!

Thanks so much,

Emma

Ps. 27 days until I'm home

I support mermaids, they've always been your specialty!
